HOW IT STARTED |
I started Label Xchange in 2009 in the heat of the American recession. Global events had shifted the economy, American job prospects, and the course of the design industry. My vision was to launch a free style event for men and women to share ideas on self image and the status of global fashion. This "label exchange" was to be the first of many, a summit of thought-provoking discussions and fun fashion events.
Label Xchange quickly grew into more than an event, it grew into a platform to converge voices from across the style diaspora, from Brazil to Japan, America to Nigeria, into an ongoing stream of discussion about design.
