IT'S HERE AGAIN MY LOVELIES!!!
The Holiday season is just out of reach, arriving sooner than you think, and tempting us to start our shopping early.
I walked into a Duane Reade on 34th Street, and a young store clerk was arranging tinsel and Santa hats on the shelves. Sheesh. Christmas so soon? I haven't taken my tryptophanic journey with my beloved turkey yet, and she is hanging tinsel? Go figure corporate America - trying to extend the holiday shopping season (and profits) as long as possible.
And while all of this goes on in stores across Manhattan, New York, the US, there is a special bit of shopping to do for moi' for the perfect, killer, 'I look better than everyone else in this room' outfit. One suitable for my Christmas parties, my family get-togethers, my office shin-digs, my drinks with friends, the plays, shows and events I will attend, and the general everyday show of cheer. What am I going to wear? I need (I mean I NEED) to channel that Holiday spirit, with bright, shiny things, with shimmer and glam, with sumptuous texture.
