LX/Label XChange: THURSDAY FASHION REPORT: 80's Power Play

It's all about the eighties. Strong shoulders, bold colors, dramatic makeup, theatricality - the Power Play of the eighties era could be seen at many runway shows earlier this year, such as Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Zac Posen and the sexy mini-dress menagerie at Herve Leger.

The biggest question is how to translate these stunning styles so they work for everyday, and where to score some great finds without breaking the budget. And of course, there are those innocent little splurges that we just can't live without O:)

Since there are so many great takes on the eighties, and so much in the ready to wear market to choose from, I decided to cover this in 3 parts - each part dedicated to an on-trend, well executed line shown at Fashion Week in February 2009.
