FREAKIN' IT FRIDAY:

Re-cap of Fashion's Night Out

Hey Lovelies!
Presented by Vogue, the CFDA, and NY & Co., September 10th was Fashion's Night Out in New York City. Just one day before the 9/11 anniversary, New Yorkers showed their unmistakable resilience, pouring into the streets with smiles for steals and deals all over the city. Stressing the importance of the retail industry in New York, www.fashionsnightout.com (official site for the event), said:

"Next only to finance, fashion is the second-largest sector of industry in New York City—the headquarters of more than 800 fashion companies employing 175,000 people and generating $10 billion in total wages."

The windows on 5th were full of inspiration, drawing shoppers, revellers, socialites and celebrities to in-store parties, sales, and public festivities. There was great fashion, mini red carpets, roped lines, strobe lights, fabulous sales and lots & lots of people!

Here's what I saw on my way down 5th Avenue:

At 8:30PM the Versace store exterior drew the largest crowd on 5th Avenue, with live models in each window showcasing their latest looks.
